About Kruisin' Kanines
At Kruisin' Kanines, dog sports is our passion. For almost 30 years, we've been helping dogs and humans harness their inner athlete. Our teams train to prepare for exciting agility or nosework careers, establish basic canine manners and dog training techniques, and at the same time enhance the bond with our dogs.
Our professional and certified instructors use training methods that emphasize positive motivational training, reward based training, and we welcome clicker based training methods.
In 1995, a dedicated and passionate group began meeting regularly and formed a club to train their dogs. They established the strong core that built our passionate, fun, and friendly organization of dog enthusiasts, training with only positive methods to bring out the best in dogs and humans from the start. The club incorporated and was officially established as Kruisin' Kanines in 1996. Today, Kruisin' Kanines offers full-service award-winning positive dog training in Bucks County, PA for almost 30 years.
We host a number of trials and competition events in agility and scentwork/nosework throughout the year.
Club memberships are also available - members get additional perks and benefits including classes, discounts, barn and equipment use, and more. Our members and dogs vary in ages, shapes, and sizes; all ability levels from beginners through veteran teams; and participate in a variety of dog sports including agility, scentwork/nosework, rally, dock diving, fast CAT, obedience, barn hunt, lure coursing. But most of all, our members share their love of dogs and dog sports.
Kruisin' Kanines instructors have earned Master Agility Champion titles (MACH) with their dogs and participated in elite national and international agility events including AKC and UKI Invitationals and Sweepstakes, AKC Nationals, Westminster Master Agility Championships, UKI US Opens, USDAA Championship events, and World Agility Open (WAO) Championships. Our instructors are actively competing in multiple venues of agility including AKC (American Kennel Club), UKI (UK Agility International), USDAA (United States Dog Agility Association), and others, allowing opportunities for learning what works best for each individual team.
The Kruisin' Kanines training barn is located in New Hope, PA. Just a few minutes from Doylestown, we are tucked away on a quiet lane in Plumstead Township within the heart of scenic Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Our facility is just outside of Carversville, north of downtown Doylestown, and within close proximity to all of the Delaware River Towns in PA and NJ, including Lambertville and Stockton, New Jersey.
Our training facility encompasses three training rings. In 2024, we upgraded all of the interior and exterior lighting at our training facility. The surface in Ring 1 is 'FootingFirst Equine Dirt' - a combination of sand, fiber, and soft rubber - newly refreshed in Fall 2022. Ring 2 is a brand new foam mat surface, upgraded in Summer 2022. We intermittently use the grass outdoor ring, weather permitting. Multiple events, shows, and trials are held at the Kruisin' Kanines training barn throughout the year.
If you can't make it to one of our classes or events but would like to try out our training surfaces, please contact our training director.
