Nosework Seminars with Beth Weidman
Sunday, October 4, 2026
Kruisin' Kanines welcomes Beth Weidman for nosework and scentwork training seminars in New Hope, PA.
Two special seminars, each two-and-a-half hours long, will take place on Sunday, October 4, 2026 with topics for teams at all levels.
---
Workshop Times:
Morning session - Sun. 10/4, 10:00am to 12:30pm
Containers and Thresholds: Master challenging nosework environments with confidence in this two-topic workshop.
Thresholds: We will give you the strategy and training tools to clear your search area—starting with the tricky thresholds—you’ll learn how to be a more connected partner and build the skills your dog needs to search effectively. Containers: We will turn one of the most commonly faulted elements, the challenging containers, into a strength by using exercises designed to beat environmental distractors. You and your dog will tackle a variety of container setups while building the strategies and confidence needed to master them every time.
Afternoon session - Sun. 10/4, 1:30pm to 4:00pm
Elevated and Ground Hides: Up vs down! Understand the scent picture from the ground up, learning the signs of finding the source of the odor in these challenging conditions. Explore how the air flow applies to high and low hides, to know when your dog is in odor, and build confidence in getting your dog to work elevated hides.
---
Location: Kruisin' Kanines Training Facility, 7102 Sladek Road, New Hope, PA
Seminars will be held in Ring 2 (black matted surface), within interior areas in the training building, and exterior areas outside the building.
Each workshop, morning or afternoon, will be 2.5 hours with a maximum of 8 teams in full working spots.
